The 21st Century Sounds
Clay Benjamin spent the most of his infancy listening to gospel quartets, which were framed by the abilities of Gospel Keynotes, Mighty Clouds of Joy, and his own father.
Benjamin went on to perform for the show band Diggin before most recently touring as the rhythm guitarist for Rev. Al Green. He has performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, the Manchester Coliseum in Manchester, England, the Red Rock Amphitheatre in Colorado, and the BB King Blues Club and Madison Square Garden in New York. His studio abilities have been acquired by gospel legends Uncle Reece and Tito TJuan, and he has been featured on Troy Sneed’s charted gospel smash “My Heart Says Yes” and Donald Hayes’ album Reflections Vol. 2.
A true icon of modern music, Clay Benjamin is a multi-talented musician. His discoveries have allowed him to transcend boundaries and genres while preserving his unmistakable style of music writing and voice.
